The news from day six...

We get a bright early start in morning sunshine and head up further in to the mountains hoping to stop for lunch and look around Trondheim. We are about half a day behind schedule and hoping that the cars will stand up to the steep climb through the western fjord region and the approach to the Arctic Circle.

• The Delorean continues to have problems, this time fuel starvation - Hoo and Jane battle on but are dropping further and further behind schedule...
• Starsky & Hutch are having intermittent mis-firing problems and their car is also running pretty badly...

As the cars climb higher and higher in to the mountains the whether draws in and the surroundings start to become more forbidding...

After a few hours the cars rumble in to the coastal city of Trondheim for something to eat and a look around...

• Trondheim was cold and wet but the locals provide a lovely warm smile. Meet Nina and Tonje, the nicest car park attendants you'll ever meet and straight in to contention as a double entry (oo-er) for Miss Custard 2004...

After a meal and trot around the town we decided to push on for Mo I Rana, the weather turned foul and no one wanted to put up a tent so the decision was made to just keep going...this worked out rather well since we made loads of progress but ended up knackered...

The next day would see us crossing the Arctic Circle!
