The
news from day three...
Next day our priority was to see whether we could get the Dukes of
Hazzard going again. Starsky and Hutch had a close brush with the law
after steaming in to a petrol station all sirens blazing to find 3 Politzei
filling up...fortunately they were the only 3 Germans with a sense of
humour...the teams would today try and reach Copenhagen...
Dukes of Hazzard lose their box!
- The diagnosis was not good - the General Lee's clutch was utterly
destroyed...after some frantic phone calls to the UK it was decided
that Jim and Denny would catch a 24 hour ferry to Oslo by which time
a replacement clutch could be air mailed out...
- Team Batmobile in the spare car had now reached Germany having
driven through the night and hoping to be with us that night in Copenhagen.
Extreme Trifle on Danish national TV!!
- Whilst en route to Copenhagen the teams suddenly notice a camera
crew trailing them - ten minutes later they were in a side street
being interviewed for Danish TV...3 hours later they would be in a
local bar watching themselves on Danish national news!! We have no
idea what they said about us but the locals seemed to like it and
much beer was consumed!

Tomorrow the teams would be heading for Oslo and hopefully a successful
reunion with the Dukes of Hazzard...our last communication
with them was a text from Jim at 2pm saying "I is pissed"!!
