The news from day one...

Setting off at 6.00am from London the teams made their way to Dover for the ferry. Day one would see them travelling through France, Belgium and Holland...the French looked at us with utter contempt, the Belgians were slightly bemused and the Dutch absolutely loved it, tooting horns, thumbs up and general pissing themselves laughing...

Batmobile explodes in Margate

we had our first casualty before we even left England...the Bat Mobile engine blew up and the team had to return for their back up car (a Fiat Panda!), though not before missing the ferry!  

Other team news:

  • Chitty Chitty Bang Bang were pulled over by the Police in Kent for driving with "illegal protuding wings" - they got let off with a warning!!
  • Starsky & Hutch get a bit lively...

  • Thunderbird 4 goes one better and completely rolls over in a car park in Holland during an impromptu stunt show for a passing stag do - one rocket booster was damaged but otherwise ok.

  • Starksy & Hutch starting to show early signs of abuse...

  • The Dukes of Hazzard have been overheating
  • The Delorean's exhaust has fallen off
  • Lady Penelopes seem to have avoided problems so far though both reported make up traumas...

Tomorrow sees the teams heading for Hamburg...
