Mother's Day Survey As you all know it's Mother's Day this Sunday. Those of you that didn't know are now panicking and rapidly changing your plans for lunchtime. We thought you might like some interesting statistics from our Mother's Day survey. We asked 1,000 mums what they really wanted this Sunday and here we can reveal the answers: 17% said they wanted flowers and chocolates 3% said they wanted to swap their son/daughter for a nicer one 1% turned out to be men 79% said they wanted to go across India in a motorised rickshaw Well there you have it kids. If you really love your mum you know what to do... 142 days to go and the 2007 event is shaping up nicely with teams registering from Europe, America, Australia, Russia, India and even some chappie in Bolivia. The Brits as usual are putting in a strong showing! For those of you not yet in the know the Rickshaw Rampage is a 2000km rampage across India in...er...a Rickshaw. Go check it Mapping mission: The intrepid planning team will shortly be mapping out the route with the waypoints being chosen based on the following criteria (in order of importance):
As it happens there should be no problem with any of the above (except the last one) since the locals are literally falling over themselves to host the overnight parties. More details will be released once the mapping mission and sponsorship deals come to fruition. One thing we can tell you is that there will be a monster party in Goa located on a barge. That either means its a bloody huge barge or in good Indian fashion we will simply overload it by a factor of ten and drown. Either way it will be massive fun. ***Places are filling up and prices are likely to rise in April so get registered soon!*** *Brand new event launched* Obviously August is still a long way off and we can't possibly wait that long to do something stupid so as a warm up we bring you the "Ring Sting" . No it's not a curry-off, but a trip to the Nurburgring (see what we did there...). The Nurburgring is a one way public road in Germany. Nothing unusual about that except it's 13 miles long and has no speed limit. It is therefore only fair that we do it justice. Our chosen vehicles for this trip will therefore be the legendary Honda C90 capable of speeds of up to 180mph (in freefall) or around 45mph when powered by their own steam. We've also managed to pack in a visit to the Le Mans 24hr race in France and a tour of the Stella Artois factory in Belgium. Sign up now That's all for now folks, must dash, our mum said she wanted some chocolates for Mother's Day... EXTREME TRIFLE
